Leanne Lieberman
Leanne Lieberman is a writer, blogger, teacher and mom, and the author of 5 Books of Young Adult Fiction, with her most recent title hitting bookstores in 2017: “The Most Dangerous Thing”.

Her previous title, “Lauren Yanofsky Hates the Holocaust” is a Young Adult novel about a teenage girl who must make some tough decisions when boys from her high school start playing Nazi games.

Leanne’s first novel, Gravity, was the winner of Orca Books’ 2008 “So You Think You Can Write?” contest. It was also a Sydney Taylor Notable book and made the 2009 Rainbow List. The Globe and Mail described Leanne’s writing “like origami, in which meanings gently unfold." Leanne is also the author of The Book of Trees, which was lauded for its fresh approach to the difficult topic of Israeli/Palestinian relations.

Leanne’s adult fiction has been published in many Canadian journals such as Descant, The New Quarterly, Fireweed, The Antigonish Review and Grain. She is currently working on a collection of linked short stories entitled, Open Your Heart.

Leanne holds degrees from McGill University, Queen’s University and an MA from the University of Windsor. She grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia and currently lives in Kingston, Ontario, with her husband and two sons.
